About the Author
Jonathan Woodward is a Jesus follower, husband, father, friend, author, and blogger. He has been writing,talking, and airing a public voice about life, faith, and Jesus on a nearly consistent basis for almost 5 years. His musings are often found, though not without some level of goad, at his blog: Sorting Beans.
Jonathan has experience in church leadership, evangelism, church planting, teaching and discipleship. Various ministry leadership positions Jonathan has served in include: preaching/teaching, discipleship, pastoring, worship, small groups, outreach, baptism, students, and church planting. He is currently a BA student at Cincinnati Christian University with excellent repute among his professors and fellow students.
His desire is for the body of Christ to grow into solid, passionate followers of Jesus. Yet, he understands this happens only through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, being transformed by the knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jonathan is energized by helping believers gain Biblical insight that produces worship, and the practical application to accompany that insight to living victoriously in Christ.
Jonathan believes the Gospel of Jesus Christ is not something we must believe only to be saved and then move on to deeper things of Scripture. Instead, the Gospel that saves sinners is the same Gospel that sanctifies and grows the saved—a Christian LIVES on the Gospel. Jonathan feels called to build and equip the Church, reach out to those who don’t know Jesus, and live authentically in Christ before others as a way of embracing this Gospel-centered mandate.
Several other book ideas have surfaced in his MacBook’s hard drive. Some of them have quite a bit of work invested in them already. Expect to see more titles to come!
Jonathan J. Woodward is 33 years old and has been married to Jamey Woodward for eleven years. They have two daughters, ages 8 and 6, and live in Cincinnati Ohio.
